Why pay $350 an hour for a celebrity trainer, when you can buy James Duigan's book today.

It costs $350 an hour to train with James Duigan at his Bodyism gym in London. For a fraction of that price, you can buy his book, Clean & Lean Diet (Simon & Schuster), in which he shares the program he uses when whipping his high-profile clients - such as Elle Macpherson and Hugh Grant - into shape. As well as a 14-day meal plan, the book features an illustrated exercise routine. Of course, it's unlikely those who adhere to his approach will achieve a body like Elle's. But Duigan insists they will be on their way to achieving "a healthy, more beautiful body".
Here are five of the top techniques Duigan uses to keep his star clients fit and healthy.
1. Cut the C.R.A.P
"That's caffeine, refined sugar, alcohol and processed foods. These are the four main toxins that cause our bodies to cling to fat," Duigan says.
2. Why clean equals lean
"If you want your body to be lean, it has to be clean. Lean doesn't mean a body that's gym-honed to within an inch of its life or one that is scarily skinny. It means a lovely-looking body that is the right side of athletic," Duigan says.
3. Challenge yourself
"Age is a state of mind. Never listen to anyone who tells you that you are too old to do anything."
4. Train smarter
"I haven't always had the luxury of time when getting someone in shape for a movie, which means the techniques I use deliver fast, sustainable results. My exercise plan only takes eight minutes a day, which I suggest you follow with a 20-minute walk," he says.
5. Be good to your body
"I look at the human body from a holistic point of view. Yes, you need to get a sweat up at least four times a week ... but you also need to have a positive attitude as that is what drives our behaviour and habits," he says.
